Inspired by the romance of historic Mexico, Jan Barboglio creates decorative iron accessories infused with glass and wooden accents. Each piece is hand-cut, fashioned, forged, and finished to a tanned-leather luster. An embossed, etched signature is stamped and accompanied by a sentiment, proverb, or poem in every creation.

Jan Barboglio is fond of Mexican tradition, and much of that tradition is religious in nature. As described in the product insert, "the blessing of places of protection, production, and fertility, such as a home, a garden, farm, or place of business, has a long history in Mexican and Latin American countries." Because these items are made to look naturally aged, no two pieces are the same; therefore, each piece has intended flaws unique to that item.
